canvas Use requirements

As of Spring 2020, all faculty are required to use Canvas to teach their courses, regardless of the modality or level. The following how-to guides provide faculty with step-by-step instructions on how to meet the required protocols. This information is also available as a Google Doc for downloading and printing.

0. Import APU course template (optional, but recommended)

1. Upload a syllabus and essential course materials

2. Create and grade assignments.

3. Maintain a gradebook (enable grading scheme and check gradebook settings)

4. Post essential announcements, including your virtual office hours.

5. Make sure course materials meet accessibility standards.

6. Publish the course
